Leaving behind a prestigious job at the Four Seasons in 2009, our founder Chef Mak Kwai Pui and fellow Chef Leung Fai Keung, opened a tiny 20-seater in Hong Kong’s Sham Shui Po with a simple dream: to make high-quality dim sum accessible to all. Through craft, care and conviction, they did what few thought possible— a hole-in-the-wall serving affordable dim sum earned a Michelin star. That’s what makes us iconic – not just the success but the story behind it. A story that proves global recognition can come from staying true to your roots.

Asia Grand was first established in Asia Hotel (Currently Hamilton Scotts) along Scotts Road in 2004, with focus on serving authentic Cantonese cuisine. The founding team are Hong Kong natives with high expectations food quality and service standards which is uphold till today. In 2008 Asia Grand relocated to Odeon Towers and in 2022, relocated to Fairmont Singapore. Over the years, the founding team and current management explored with new ingredients, create new dishes but insisted on preparing all dishes, sauces and condiments internally. This resulted in building an experienced kitchen operating team of more than 30 experienced chefs and crew, serving a single restaurant premise.
